Caconde, Brazil

In September of 2011, a UMVIM team from LGUMC will travel to Caconde, Brazil to assist in the completion of a Senior Care Center (an Asilo). This will be the third successive year teams have worked on the project. The new facility will house seniors who are currently crowded into a older and much smaller unit in this small community located in beautiful, hilly, coffee-growing country some four hours north of Sao Palo. The team will live in a comfortable country home. The total cost per person is about $2,000. LGUMC has supported the project with funds and volunteers. Orientations will begin in the early spring.

If you have an interest in participating (either planning, donating your services, or actually going on the trip), then please contact the office during the week or membership services on Sunday morning.

Provides the Cal-Nev Office with important volunteer contact information and details. All new volunteers and those who have not filled out this form in the past 2 years are required to fill out pages 1-6 of this packet. Please open the file and read the intro page for specific instructions.

Registration Affirmation This form was developed to stream-line the registration process. If you HAVE filled out the full Cal-Nev Registration for another trip in the past 2 years, then the affirmation will serve as you current trip’s registration. We will seek out your previous form and attached it to your affirmation form for the team file.
