Celebrate Recovery

Our Celebrate Recovery program welcomes us Just As We Are.

This is a place where we go to belong to a supporting and loving community; a place where we can grow in self-understanding; where we grow in our relationship with God, Christ and others.

Many people think “recovery” only involves drug addicts and alcoholics, but only 1 out of 3 people in Celebrate Recovery has issues with drugs and alcohol. Although Celebrate Recovery deals with “big” issues such as life-threatening illness, alcohol, drugs and sex addiction, our group also discusses issues of loneliness, abandonment, grief, codependency, divorce, eating disorders, anger,  anxiety, resentment,  financial problems,  and abuse.

Celebrate Recovery is for anyone who is seeking a God-mended life.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Are there things I do that hurt others?
  • Are there things other do that hurt me?
  • Have I suffered a great loss?
  • Is there something in my life I wish I could live without?
  • Is there a compulsion, habit, or substance dominating my life?
  • Is there an addiction in my life that has become destructive?

If you answered and said “yes” to any of these questions, then we urge you to attend a Celebrate Recovery meeting; we think you will agree it is a safe place to begin healing!

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is for fellowship and to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the eight Christ-centered Recovery Principles, based on the Beatitudes, and the 12 Steps. This amazing adventure allows us to be transformed and made whole through the power of God’s Grace. We open the door to this transformation by sharing our experience, strength, and hope with one another. By working the steps and applying the Biblical principals, we begin to grow spiritually and eventually freed from our hurts, habits and hang-ups. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with others and our loving and forgiving Higher Power, Jesus Christ.

Celebrate Recovery Service is held on Sunday nights at 5:30pm – 8:00pm.
We begin with a simple dinner at 5:30.
Starting at 6:00pm in Grace Chapel we have a one-hour service of music, messages and testimonies.
At 7:00 p.m. we break into small groups where we work our eight recovery principles and 12 Steps.
The night will finish with our own “Cat Cafe” for a time of fellowship and continued discussions (as people feel the need).

So won’t you join us this Sunday? What do you have to lose?
